TFT Screen

A TFT touchscreen for V3 of the RFID Guardian is currently under development.

We are building a controller board for the Microtips MTF-T035AHSLN), and we hope that this will be finished by January / February 2008. The controller board will house a power conversion unit for the TFT and some electronics for reading out the touch screen and backlight brightness control using I2C. The screen is attached to the system in such a way that it can be used both by the XScale processor and the Cyclone 2 FPGA. A windowing library will be written or an existing open-source windowing library will be ported.
